Young Carers Action Day 2026 takes place on Wednesday 11 March and focuses on the theme ‘Fair Futures for Young Carers’. The day calls for action to ensure young carers have the same opportunities to learn, grow and thrive as their peers, with the right recognition, support and chances to reach their potential.
YMCA Swansea’s Young Carers Service aims to identify and provide appropriate support to all Young Carers through
- Young Carers assessments
- One to one/group sessions
- Trips/activities
- Advocacy
- Family support
- Awareness sessions in schools/community/professional groups
Our unique approach is that Young Carers are Young People first.
