Level 3 Certificate in Youth Work Practice
As a JNC and ETS endorsed training provider, we offer nationally recognised qualifications that open doors to employment and professional registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC). These qualifications are based on the National Occupational Standards for Youth Work and reflect the core values of participation, inclusion, and young person-led practice.
Level 3 Certificate in Youth Work Practice
Who is it for?
Designed for those ready to lead youth work sessions and take on greater responsibility. Perfect for staff or volunteers progressing in their career.
Entry Requirements:
Minimum age: 18+
Completion of the Level 2 Award in Youth Work Principles.
Access to a youth work placement for practical experience.
Course Structure:
Credits: 27 (approx. 270 hours of study)
Mandatory Units:
- Group Work in a Youth Work Setting
- Working with Behaviour that Challenges
- Work-Based Practice in Youth Work
- Reflective Practice in a Youth Work Setting
- Plus Level 1 optional unit
(Optional Units include a wide range including mental health, digital youth work and detached work)
Practice Requirement:
Minimum 60 hours of supervised practice in a youth work setting.
Recognition:
On completion, you gain JNC Youth Support Worker status and can register with the Education Workforce Council (EWC). Aswell as completion of 100 hours of practice, a necessary requirement for the BA honors in Youth Work Degree.
