Level 2 Certificate in Youth Work Practice
As a JNC and ETS endorsed training provider, we offer nationally recognised qualifications that open doors to employment and professional registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC). These qualifications are based on the National Occupational Standards for Youth Work and reflect the core values of participation, inclusion, and young person-led practice.
Level 2 Certificate in Youth Work Practice
Who is it for?
Ideal for those starting their youth work journey or volunteering in youth settings. This qualification prepares you to assist in delivering youth work activities under supervision.
Entry Requirements:
- Minimum age: 16+
- Access to a youth work placement for practical experience.
Course Structure:
Credits: 26 (approx. 260 hours of study)
Mandatory Units:
- Theory of Youth Work
- Safeguarding in a Youth Work Setting
- Young People’s Development
- Engaging and Communicating with Young People
Practice Requirement:
Minimum 40 hours of supervised practice in a youth work setting.
Recognition:
On completion, you will be able to progress onto the Level 3 in Youth Work Practice.
