At YMCA Swansea, we are proud to be an Agored Cymru Registered Centre, delivering high-quality Youth Work Training that meets national standards. Our training focuses on two key areas:
- Empowering Young People Through Education
We embed formal qualifications into our youth work delivery, supporting young people to gain confidence, skills, and accredited qualifications in a safe, inclusive space with professionals they trust. This approach helps young people progress into further education, training, and employment.
- Developing the Next Generation of Youth Workers
We are passionate about creating skilled, confident youth workers who can make a real difference in their communities. Our training programmes are designed to equip learners with the knowledge, values, and practical experience needed to thrive in youth work settings.
Recognised Youth Work Qualifications
As a JNC and ETS endorsed training provider, we offer nationally recognised qualifications that open doors to employment and professional registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC). These qualifications are based on the National Occupational Standards for Youth Work and reflect the core values of participation, inclusion, and young person-led practice.
Our qualifications include:
Leadership in Youth Work (Senior Member Training)
Level 2 Certificate in Youth Work Practice
Level 3 Certificate in Youth Work Practice
