Period Poverty
Our Period Poverty Project supports girls and women across YMCA Swansea programmes. Designed to support the most vulnerable people in Swansea due to poverty, chaotic lifestyles, poor health, homelessness etc., we provide free access to feminine hygiene products within the YMCA as part of our offer of support for individuals and groups, (Young Carers, LGBT Young People etc) via key workers. This is done discreetly, with appropriate care and guidance and supports our educational programme for young people.
Winter Pressures
Working with the Health Board and Third Sector partners, YMCA Swansea aims to support young people and adults coming out of hospital as part of the local hospital discharge scheme and to ease pressure on the NHS as part of the Winter Pressure Programme
