Y-HUB

Y-HUB is a universal, open access project that is open to all 11–25-year-olds. With hot food, music and weekly workshops, it offers Young People a safe and friendly environment with professional support.

Y-HUB was specifically created to cater to the needs of young people in Swansea who are at risk of being involved in County Lines, Antisocial Behaviour, and Exploitation. The project is also beneficial and provides support for young people not in education and training.

Y-Hub operates through three main approaches in youth work:

  • Y-HUB Drop-in Youth Club – The club provides a safe and warm space for all young people every day 12-5 and on Friday evenings.
  • 1-2-1 Support – Qualified and experienced Youth Workers are on hand to support young people through 1-2-1 sessions, which can be tailored to help them tackle social and personal challenges.
  • Outreach/Street-Work – This program takes place on different nights throughout the week to cater to the needs of young people and the community.

Since its inception, Y-HUB has led to the formation of relationships between young people and experienced, professional Youth Workers and peers. We offer a hot, nutritious balanced meal, ensuring the young people receive at least one hot meal on a weekly basis.

Y-HUB provides young people with the opportunity to participate in various activities including art and crafts, music making, karaoke, and a selection of games. We also have topic-based activities every week such as sexual health, county lines, healthy relationships, substance use, boundaries, risk-taking, exploitation, and more.

Join us at YMCA Swansea every weekday afternoon or on Friday evenings, 6-8pm.
