Y-Talent

Our Y-Talent music & arts project was previously funded by Postcode Lottery, Children In Need and the Arts Council of Wales to support over 120 children and young people between the ages of 5 and 25 every year.

Today, Y-Talent has been reimagined to become part of our National Lottery funded drop in project, where music is used as an engagement tool to support young people who have experienced trauma, neglect, substance use, or those have been involved in criminal activity, are vulnerable or are struggling with their identity and self-esteem.

The focus is to get children and young people to try new things, feel better about themselves, meet others and build confidence.

The workshops or one-to-ones are tailored to individual needs and can involve learning to play the guitar, piano, drums, singing, and song-writing. Music really is an amazing way to get young people to express themselves and get them involved in positive activities.
