YMCA Swansea’s LGBTQ+ Service offers free training to professionals from a variety of backgrounds to help young people feel safe, seen and supported in their service, and to enable staff to build their confidence in their professional practice.
We are also able to offer bespoke training for your workplace or group.
By the end of this session, learners will
- Have an increased understanding of common terminology and its importance regarding LGBTQ+ identities
- Have an improved awareness of the challenges faced by LGBTQ+ young people
- Be aware of how to use the Bystander Intervention Approach to support the creation of saferspaces
- Be able to identify take-away points for their professional practice
Sessions are 3 hours long and delivered online.
