Environmental

Y-Future in Swansea

Y-Future engages young people to take the lead in the fight to provide a more sustainable Swansea.

We aim to bring young people together from in and around rural wards, allowing increased accessibility to engage, promote and discuss: Youth Environmental Advocacy and Activism, Green Technology, Waste Management, Climate Action, Climate Justice at a local, regional and global level – all to help our young people provide solutions for our current environmental emergency.

This project has received funding through the Welsh Government Rural Communities – Rural Development Programme 2014-2020, which is funded by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development and the Welsh Government and supported by Swansea Rural Development Partnership at Swansea Council.

Y-Gower

Y-Gower aims to bring young people together and provide and promote increased levels of accessible opportunities in and around Gower in the first instance. This was done virtually during the re-opening of our communities due to lockdown, with easing back into face to face work in the second half of year one (as COVID allows) and continuing with a blended programme of digital and face to face project work.

The Project is a result of our ongoing Y-Gower project that has developed local young champions and provided access to the Gower for diverse groups of  young people across our communities over the last 4 years.
