Free Transgender Awareness Training

YMCA Swansea is offering free Transgender Awareness Training to professionals. The courses will help those working with others to

  • Gain an increased understanding of what it might mean to identify as a transgender young person
  • Be able to dispel some common myths regarding being transgender and what transitioning can mean
  • Have an overview of the challenges and risks faced by young transgender people and an insight into how this might feel
  • Be able to identify what steps you can take in your professional capacity to best support transgender youth.

The 3 hours courses will be delivered on Teams. Bespoke courses are also available.
